So, if the uneducated conservative who dresses poorly holds onto old immoral, racist and selfish political and social ideas, then what does the poorly dressed old crunchy granola hippie hold on to? Fanciful idealism, that the world can be fixed of all its problems and that people are good enough to do so. Or something along those lines. Thinking too much about trying to help everyone is naive. It is also limited to a traditional sense of help, money, housing, assistance in general, basic training. Sometimes the answer needs to be no. Sometimes people don't get better with help, but only get better when everyone has abandoned them.
